An itinerary designed for people who wish to have a more meaningful and in depth exploration of Hokkaido Island. Rarely visited by foreign tourists this is a vast island of wild coastal cliffs, extensive marshlands and forested mountains, a wonderful resource for birds, plants, animals and photogenic natural scenery. Northern and Central Honshu Island will also be included in this tour.

June is characterised by fine sunny days, long hours of daylight and pleasantly cool weather, accompanied by numerous species of birds having migrated here for breeding, including Latham's Snipe and buntings that add to the endemics such as various woodpeckers and Japanese Red-crowned Cranes. Red Fox and Asiatic Chipmunk and Pine Grosbeak are also prevalent.
