DAY 1: NARITA/HANEDA AIRPORT – TOKYO
Upon arrival at Narita Airport, clear customs and immigration then board the Airport Limousine coach transfer service to your accommodation in Tokyo for 3 nights. A coach transfer service can also be provided if you are arriving into Haneda Airport. Additionally we can arrange early check in, prior accommodation and any other arrangements if you wish to arrive earlier than the tour start date.
DAY 2: TOKYO
Nakamise Street - TokyoAfter breakfast at your hotel your Japan journey begins with a full day sightseeing tour of Tokyo. Visit some of the major sights including the Tokyo Tower Observatory, 250 meters high and broadcasting 360 panoramic views of the city. Nakamise Shopping Archade, a shopping street that leads from the other gate of Asakusa Kannon Temple (Sensoji), one of Tokyo’s most colourful and popular Buddhist temples. Today you will also experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony at Happoen Garden and a river cruise down the Sumida river. In the evening, get to know your tour group & escort with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 3 TOKYO
Hakone Ropeway Mt. FujiAfter breakfast, embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Hakone and Lake Ashi area. Visit Mt Fuji, Japan’s national icon. Drive up to the Mt Fuji 5th station of the mountain and its viewing spots. Take a cruise on lake Ashi, then ropeway up Mt. Komagatake stopping at Owakudani Valley for a spectacular panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding area. After the tour of this area finishes you will head back to Tokyo.
DAY 4: TOKYO – TAKAYAMA
Takayama VilliageBreakfast at your own leisure. Send your large suitcase onto Kanazawa city. Depart for Takayama via Nagoya on the Shinkansen bullet train. You will have the afternoon and evening to explore this beautiful little town. For dinner you might like to try the famous “Hida-gyu” beef, a specialty dish in Takayama by your own plan. After dinner relax and unwind in the Japanese Onsen (Hot Springs) at your accommodation. Accommodation in Takayama for 2 nights.
DAY 5: TAKAYAMA
Takayama Jinya Historical Government HouseBreakfast at your own leisure. Today you will visit some famous spots in Takayama including the Hida Folk Village, an open air museum exhibiting over 30 traditional houses from the region, Matsuri-no-mori and San-machi, a traditional Japanese village area and Takayama Jinya. Explore this historic area of Takayama’s old town. A small 3 lane area is filled with old wooden buildings consisting of sake breweries, small boutiques and some larger merchant houses which are now museums.
DAY 6: TAKAYAMA – KANAZAWA
Kanazawa Castle ParkBreakfast at your own leisure. Today you will have the morning free to explore more of the beautiful little town of Takayama. We recommend visiting the early morning Takayama markets, where local fresh produce and souvenirs stalls are set up. In the afternoon travel by the JR limited express train to Kanazawa city. Accommodation in Kanazawa for 1 night.
DAY 7: KANAZAWA – OSAKA
Kenroku-en GardenBreakfast at your own leisure. Send your large luggage on to Hiroshima city. Morning city tour of Kanazawa visiting, Higashi Chayagai, Kenroku-en Garden – one of Japan’s 3 most beautiful gardens. Also visit Nagamachi Buke Yashiki, and Omicho Market. In the afternoon travel to Osaka city by JR Limited Express train.

DAY 8: OSAKA – HIROSHIMA
Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory OsakaBreakfast at your own leisure. Morning city tour of Osaka visiting, Osaka Castle, Floating Garden Observatory, Shitenno-ji Temple and Namba area. In the afternoon, travel to Hiroshima by Shinkansen Bullet train. Accommodation in Hiroshima for 2 nights.
DAY 9: HIROSHIMA
Miyajima Island near HiroshimaBreakfast at your own leisure. Today, visit some of the major sights of Hiroshima, including Miyajima Island, Itsukushima Shinto Shrine (World Heritage listed) and the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome (World Heritage listed).
DAY 10 HIROSHIMA – HIMEJI – KYOTO
Himeji CastleBreakfast at your own leisure. In the morning depart for Hiroshima by Shinkansen Bullet Train. Upon arrival take a Himeji half day tour, visiting Himeji castle (World Heritage listed) and Koko-en Garden. After the tour you will travel to Kyoto and check into your accommodation and stay for 3 nights.
DAY 11: KYOTO
Nijo CastleBreakfast at your own leisure. Today enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Kyoto city, visiting Nijo Castle (World Heritage listed) the Golden Pavilion, Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu Temple (World Heritage listed). Lunch today is included.
DAY 12: KYOTO
Kifune Shrine KyotoToday is a free day to explore more of Kyoto City or do some last minute shopping. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant with your tour escort and group.
DAY 13 KYOTO
The road goes ever on - Gion KyotoYour journey finishes today after breakfast. Check out of your hotel by 10:00am. Included in this tour is an Airport Limousine coach transfer service back to Kansai International Airport or Itami Domestic Airport. We can also arrange late check out, post tour accommodation and any other arrangements if you wish to extend your stay in Japan after the tour concludes.
