GTTYO-QT3 - 3 DAY SUNRISE EXPRESS KYOTO & NARA - Return Trip
Travel by Shinkansen to Kyoto in the morning. After lunch experience the rich history and culture of Nara. Visit Todaiji Temple, the world’s largest wooden structure and home of the Great Buddha. Mingle with the deer at Nara Park and marvel at the many lanterns at Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Return to Kyoto for your first night.
The next day is a full day of Kyoto sightseeing. See the Tokugawa era shogun’s resident, Nijo Castle, admire the gold-leaf covered Golden Pavilion, and stroll through the exquisite gardens surrounding it. Walk through Kyoto Imperial Palace and watch traditional artisans work their craft at the Kyoto Handicraft Center.
After lunch visit Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu Temple.
Day 3 is free until your departure by Shinkansen to Tokyo.

Itinerary:
Day1: Tokyo - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
Morning transfer to Tokyo Station between. Board a Shinkansen train for the classical city of Kyoto.
Enjoy a splendid view of imposing Mt.Fuji en route (weather permitting).
Lunch at New Miyako Hotel.
Afternoon tour to Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan. Visit Todaiji Temple housing a great image of Buddha, colourful Kasuga Taisha Shrine with 3,000 lanterns, and Nara Park where many tame deer are freely roaming.
Return to Kyoto for your first nights accommodation.
Day2: Kyoto
Morning sightseeing of Kyoto, visiting Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Nijo Castle noted for its gorgeous interiors, and Kyoto Imperial Palace (on Sat. , Sun., & national holidays, asthe Palace is closed, visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead).
After lunch at Kyoto Handicraft Center, enjoy afternoon sightseeing of the city, visiting Sanjusangendo Temple with its 1,001 impressive images of Buddha, vermilion-hued Heian Jingu Shrine and Kiyomizudera Temple with its wooden veranda.
Day3: Kyoto - Tokyo
Free at leisure until departure. In the evening (between 6 and 7pm) board a Shinkansen train back to Tokyo, arriving between 9 and 10pm.
Transfer to major hotels in Tokyo.
