Visit Atsuta Jingu Shrine, one of the most important shrines of the Shinto religion. Wander through Noritake Garden and marvel at the exquisite chinaware that has made Noritake world-famous. After lunch, visit the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, built in celebration of Toyota founder Kiichiro Toyota’s 100th birthday, detailing the history of the company. Proceed to Nagoya Castle, the symbol of Nagoya and originally built in 1612 by Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. From its observation deck on the top floor, you can get both a sweeping view of the city and admire the many exhibits about life in feudal Japan.
